I want to do a brick backsplash, but time and money do not allow for that right now. I painted it the same color as my kitchen (Behr "LION")but it still needed something....so, I added some plates that I love! They are from Southern Living at Home called Terrace appetizer plates.AFTER
It adds some color and texture until I can get the backsplash I really want. I might even hang the plates again after we do the brick. We will see...
I used these disc plate hangers so that the hanger would not show. You can get these at Hobby Lobby; a little pricey though, about $2 each, but easy to use.

That looks AMAZING!! I have NEVER seen plate hangers like that, and even more jealous that I don't have a Hobby Lobby in CA.

Love those plates!! I am anxious to do my backsplash, too. Same thing though...$$. I am about to just paint my backsplash and call it a day.

Love the plates. We have our kitchen painted "Tobacco Road" similar look. For almost 8 years I have had no back splash tiles. But, we recently found great ones at Home Depot. When my husband finishes painting the house we are going to finally tile the back splash!Yeah hubs.
Oh my gosh, that looks great! and thanks for telling us where to find the little plate hangers. I have been searching for those for a long time but can never find them.
